Snyder Dermatology Staff Austin
Dr. Renee Snyder is a native Texan, originally from El Paso. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. She completed her medical training at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and was in the School of Medicine Honors Program and graduated Magna Cum Laude and a member of Alpha Omega Alpha. She completed her internship at Christus St. Joseph Hospital in Houston and her dermatology residency training at the University of Texas Medical Branch.
Dr. Snyder has been published in several peer-reviewed journals, presented at several scientific meetings and been co-author of a book chapter in Dermatology in General Medicine. She is board certified by the American Academy of Dermatology.
She is currently Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology for UTMB and volunteer faculty for the dermatology residency program at the University of Texas Southwestern- Austin Dermatology Program.
Dr. Snyder is a member of the Travis County Medical Society and the Texas Medical Association. She is also a member of the Austin Dermatology Society, the Texas Dermatology Society, the American Academy of Dermatology and the Symphony League of Austin.
Dr. Snyder’s main interest is in medical dermatology; she also enjoys organic skin care and is co-founder of W3LL people in Austin, Texas.
Jennifer Aranda, MD
Jennifer Aranda, MD is a native of Caracas, Venezuela. She graduated Summa cum laude from the University of Georgia and attended medical school at Emory University. She completed a year internship at Atlanta Medical Center and a three year Dermatology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas (UTSW). Dr. Aranda has been published in several peer-reviewed journals and has co-authored two textbook chapters. She served as a clinical instructor of Dermatology at UTSW in Dallas and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. She specializes in medical and Cosmetic Dermatology. Dr. Aranda is a board certified dermatologist and a diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology. She enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her husband and two sons. She is fluent in Spanish and French.
Tessa Cervantes, MD
Tessa Cervantes, MD, is a native Texan, originally from the Rio Grande Valley. She graduated cum laude from the University of Texas at Austin and was a recipient of the Terry Foundation Scholarship. She completed medical school, internship in Internal Medicine and Dermatology Residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
While in medical school, Dr. Cervantes was the founder of the Run from the Sun 5K, served as clinic chief for the Student Run Skin Clinic, was President of the Dermatology Interest Group and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Society.
She served as Chief Dermatology Resident during her final year in residency and has been published in several peer-reviewed journals, as well as presented at several scientific meetings. Dr. Cervantes has volunteered at Camp Dermadillo, an American Academy of Dermatology sponsored camp for children with severe skin diseases in Texas.
She is board certified by the American Academy of Dermatology and is a member of the Travis County Medical Society, the Austin Dermatology Society, the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Cervantes’ interests include skin cancer prevention and treatment, adult and pediatric medical dermatology, and cosmetic dermatology. She enjoys attending dermatology meetings to stay current on the latest techniques.
Rachael has been an important part of our team at SNYder DERMAtology as a Medical Aesthetician for over seven years. She attended Baldwin Beauty School in 2007. Rachael provides excellent patient care and assistance to our providers. Her responsibility is to ensure efficiency during aesthetic procedures and exceed the expectations of our patients. Rachael also provides important education to patients about their needs. Helping people look and feel better has always been Rachael’s passion. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, sports, and spending time with her husband and son.
Erin, originally from Nebraska, has been in Texas for the past 15yrs.
She obtained her Aesthetics license at Vogue Beauty College in 2004. She continued her Aesthetic training by attending The National Laser Institute where she became a Certified Laser Technician. In 2014, Erin attended Coolsculpting University where she completed her certification, and is our Coolsculpting Team Leader. As of March 2015, Erin is also a Certified Ultherapist.
Erin’s passion is helping patients obtain their skin care goals by providing professional and specific skin care products and treatments to best fit each individual patient’s needs.
In her free time, Erin loves spending time with her family, working out, and relaxing at home with her Great Dane and 3 cats.
