Ned Snyder IV, MD
Dr. Ned Snyder IV is a native of Waco, TX, where he graduated Salutatorian from Waco High School. He went on to graduate from the Plan II Honors program at the University of Texas at Austin.
He received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He remained in Galveston where he received his plastic surgery training at the recognized UTMB Department of Surgery.
After completing his residency in plastic surgery, Dr. Snyder traveled to Ghent, Belgium. He completed a prestigious fellowship in perforator flaps and Deep Inferior Epigastric Perforator (DIEP) flaps for breast reconstruction under world-renowned micro-surgeon, Professor Philip Blondeel at the Universiteit Gent.
Dr. Snyder’s passion is for autologous breast reconstruction, he is the original DIEP surgeon in the Austin area. He specializes in DIEP flaps and microsurgical breast reconstruction.
Dr. Snyder is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and an Active Member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society of Reconstructive Microsurgeons. He is published in multiple peer reviewed medical journals and has given numerous presentations. He was recently honored to be the Blocker-Lewis invited Lecturer for University of Texas Medical Branch in 2011 for the Graduating Surgical Residents Ceremony. He is an active member and current President of the Austin Society of Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Ned Snyder is married to Dr. Renee Snyder (dermatologist) and they have two children together.
Renee Snyder, MD
Dr. Renee Snyder is a native Texan, originally from El Paso. She is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. She completed her medical training at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and was in the School of Medicine Honors Program and graduated Magna Cum Laude and a member of Alpha Omega Alpha. She completed her internship at Christus St. Joseph Hospital in Houston and her dermatology residency training at the University of Texas Medical Branch.
Dr. Snyder has been published in several peer-reviewed journals, presented at several scientific meetings and been co-author of a book chapter in Dermatology in General Medicine. She is board certified by the American Academy of Dermatology.
She is currently Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology for UTMB and volunteer faculty for the dermatology residency program at the University of Texas Southwestern- Austin Dermatology Program.
Dr. Snyder is a member of the Travis County Medical Society and the Texas Medical Association. She is also a member of the Austin Dermatology Society, the Texas Dermatology Society, the American Academy of Dermatology and the Symphony League of Austin.
Dr. Snyder’s main interest is in medical dermatology; she also enjoys organic skin care and is co-founder of W3LL people in Austin, Texas.
Jennifer Aranda, MD
Jennifer Aranda, MD is a native of Caracas, Venezuela. She graduated Summa cum laude from the University of Georgia and attended medical school at Emory University. She completed a year internship at Atlanta Medical Center and a three year Dermatology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas (UTSW). Dr. Aranda has been published in several peer-reviewed journals and has co-authored two textbook chapters. She served as a clinical instructor of Dermatology at UTSW in Dallas and Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. She specializes in medical and Cosmetic Dermatology. Dr. Aranda is a board certified dermatologist and a diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology. She enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her husband and two sons. She is fluent in Spanish and French.
Stephanie Christine
Stephanie Christine, is a board-certified Physician Assistant who treats patients of all ages with acne, eczema, skin cancer, psoriasis, and any other skin condition. She obtained a bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas in Austin and a Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. She knew before going to PA school that she wanted to practice Dermatology and completed her master’s research in acne. After finishing school, Stephanie immediately joined a Dermatology practice in Nashville, TN. But her love of Austin brought her back. She worked with another Dermatology practice in Austin for three years before joining our practice in September of 2010. Stephanie grew up in Abilene, Texas but can happily call herself an Austinite. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Blaine, and her one-year-old son, Hayes, yoga, reading, and cooking. She looks forward to offering patients quality care with compassion.
Jennifer Caserta
Jen was born and raised in Lake Jackson, Texas. She graduated with a Bachelors of Science from the University of Texas in Austin with a degree in Human Biology. She then earned her Master of Science from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas with a degree in Physician Assistant studies in 2006. She decided to focus her career on surgery and attended the surgical physician assistant residency program at the Yale-affiliated Norwalk Hospital in Norwalk, Connecticut. Upon completion of her residency, she returned to Austin and joined Snyder Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery in October of 2007. Jen takes great pride in her work and strives to provide quality, personalized care for each patient. She is an avid reader and enjoys cooking and exploring all that Austin has to offer.
Rachael Evans
Rachael is a small town girl from Sulphur Springs,Texas. She moved to Austin with her husband Justin after working as a hair model for Toni & Guy. In 2007 she attended Baldwin Beauty School in Austin, and has found her calling as an aestitician. She has been with Snyderma ever since. Helping people look, and feel better has always been her passion. In her free time she enjoys the local Austin music scene, cooking, sports, and spending time with her husband and two dogs. She is looking forward to starting a family and making Austin her long-term home.
